Telehealth Administrative Assistant

The responsibilities of this job include, but are not limited to the following:
- Assisting with the day-to-day oversight of the Telehealth process and flow of patients;
- Posting daily messages to the Physicians/Extenders and Patient Service Representatives (PSRs) upon opening and closing each day Telehealth is open. Ensure enough PSRs and Physicians are on Telehealth to meet the needs of Telehealth patients;
- Ensuring the PSRs follow up on any outstanding patient concerns or items from Physicians and Nurses as directed by the Assistant Director, Nurse Call Center and Telehealth;
- Monitoring, troubleshooting, and communicating to the Telehealth PSR Manager and the Assistant Director, Nurse Call Center and Telehealth about any technical concerns related to patient registration, platforms, and phone systems used by Telehealth Department staff;
- Registering patients as needed;
- Assisting in monitoring, resolving, and tracking incorrect email addresses captured at registration;
- Assisting with completing the daily Master Patient Index (MPI) audit;
- Helping with completing the same day visit daily audit;
- Reporting to the Assistant Director of Nurse Call Center and Telehealth or if not available, the Telehealth Nurse Manager when any suggestions, concerns, or discrepancies are relayed or discovered;
- Ensuring all patients are registered, seen, and discharged before close of day;
- Other duties as assigned.
Minimum education and professional requirements include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Must be 18 years or older;
- High school graduate or equivalent;
- Excellent written and verbal skills;
- Exceptional customer service skills;
- Minimum of one year experience as a Telehealth PSR preferred;
- Ability to politely and professionally handle all patient and staff inquiries while maintaining high quality standards;
- Ability to be able to prioritize and handle multiple tasks;
- Strong computer experience, including Microsoft Office, Microsoft Teams, Doxy.me, and Patient First’s Digital Front Door, preferred.
